Difference between explosion-proof marks CT4 and BT4 for explosion-proof motors;
1. Different grades
The explosion-proof grade of CT4 explosion-proof motor is ExdIICT4, and the explosion-proof grade of BT4 explosion-proof motor is ExdIIBT4, and the protection grade is lower than CT4 explosion-proof motor.
2, the scope of use is different
CT is the most widely available.
3, the applicable gas environment is different
CT is the explosion-proof grade of acetylene and hydrogen. If there are acetylene and hydrogen in the environment, an explosion-proof motor of CT grade should be used.
BT can not be used in the operation place of acetylene gas, but it is only a medium-level explosion-proof definition.
Explosion-proof motors can be divided into two types: Class I and Class II. Class I is suitable for underground operation of motor equipment in coal mines and Class II is used for explosion-proof motor equipment in factories.
Class I explosion-proof electrical equipment is specially used in underground coal mine operations, and underground coal mine gas methane, so class I electrical equipment is no longer classified.
Class II explosion-proof motor equipment is divided into three levels (namely IIA, IIB and IIC) according to its maximum safety gap or minimum ignition current ratio suitable for gas mixture.
C of CT4 explosion-proof motor means factory use, and T4 means the temperature group that explosion-proof motor can withstand high temperature.
The order of surface temperature grades of CT4 explosion-proof motor and BT4 explosion-proof motor from low to high is T1(450℃), T2(300℃), T3(200℃), T4(135℃), T5(100℃) and T6(85℃).
